What do you do when an anonymous student starts posting threats to shoot up a high school on Instagram?? Is it a cry for attention, did the student have a test they didn’t study for? Was there really a plot to have yet another school shooting on America’s conscience?
These are all questions the students and parents had at Flowery Branch High School in Hall County, GA.
One would assume that the perpetrator would not be difficult to find, considering Instagram is mostly a mobile app. Just like computers, all mobile apps have an IP address.
Though there was no sign of actual intent to execute said action, luckily within a week, 18-year-old Tiffani Torres was identified as the Instagram user who caused panic at the Atlanta-area high school that Monday morning in January. It was confirmed to be a hoax.
The motive is unreported.
